"What is unity in a church family as God desires? Jesus made it clear that it is a big deal, a critically essential issue. He did not stutter when He said, “I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.” (John 17:23) Unity centers around how we relate to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. It is an essential element for the world know the very reason why Christ was sent. When we fail to relate to one another as God desires we cut the nerve of our mission, specifically to bring the redeeming love of Christ to a lost world. So what is unity? Is it uniformity? Is it total unanimity? Is it the absence of conflict? What is the cause of disunity? A lot is on the line and we need to get it right. God’s desire is that His church is a fragrant aroma of Christ to unbelievers and believers. Let’s grow together in learning what is unity as God’s desires!"
